Broya bone broth is shelf stable for 12 months when unopened from the date of production. Once you open the package, the broth should be refrigerated and will be good for 7 days.
Broths that you find on the shelf in grocery stores are much cheaper than Broya bone broths because they use fewer bones in their recipes and cook them for a shorter period of time. All of this ultimately leads to a more diluted broth, which contains less nutritional content than a Broya bone broth. Sometimes, broths that you find in grocery stores don’t even contain bones in them at all, so they wouldn’t even be considered true broths. Store bought broths also do not have much of a flavour to them. Also, many store bought broths do not use organic ingredients, which makes them a lot cheaper.
The most important ingredient in bone broth are the bones, obviously! That’s why at Broya we source the best quality bones that we can get here in Canada. Our beef and chicken bones are sourced from organic Canadian farms.

Hey Lilliana, our cans have around 100 mg sodium per can. It's a lot lower than our other flavours and in general, this is considered a low sodium broth. Perhaps you have a sensitive palette to sodium. :)
Feeling healthier

I love this broth I like the fact that it is just plain broth without the added flavours which I tried and was not happy. Now that I know I can buy just the unflavoured broth I will be buying more as needed. After heating it in a saucepan I fill my mug and sit and slowly sip it and it feels warm and comforting. I love the the chicken and perhaps I will try the beef with my order next time

I love all the Broya broths, but my fave is the chicken, now in sustainable cans. I warm it up and sip it with lemon for a heavenly treat and a great pick-me-up. Because my gut health is essential, I use it in all my cooking instead of phony store-bought stock. It's also an excellent gift for my grown-up daughters. Nothing says I love you more when you're ill than the best chicken soup ever.
